अत्रे: पुत्रश्न धर्मात्मा ऋषि: सारस्वतस्तथा । वरुणस्यर्त्विज: सप्त पश्षचिमां दिशमाश्रिता:

Transliteration

atreḥ putraś ca dharmātmā ṛṣiḥ sārasvatas tathā | varuṇasyartvijaḥ sapta paścimāṁ diśam āśritāḥ || dṛḍheyuḥ ṛteyuḥ kīrtimān parivyādhaḥ sūryakā-sadṛśa-tejasvī ekataḥ dvitā tritā tathā dharmātmā atreḥ putraḥ sārasvata-muniḥ ||

Translation

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അത്രിയുടെ പുത്രനായ ധർമാത്മാവായ ഋഷിയും, സാരസ്വത മുനിയും (അവരിൽ) ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇവർ ഏഴുപേരും വരുണന്റെ ഋത്വിജന്മാർ; പടിഞ്ഞാറുദിക്കിലാണ് അവരുടെ വാസം.
