Shloka 153

इत्येते द्वादशादित्या: काश्यपेया इति श्रुति: । वेदके शतरुद्रिय प्रकरणमें महात्मा रुद्रके सैकड़ों नाम बताये गये हैं। अंश

ity ete dvādaśādityāḥ kāśyapeyā iti śrutiḥ |

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഇവരാണ് ദ്വാദശ ആദിത്യർ; ശ്രുതി ഇവരെ കശ്യപന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെന്നു പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു. അംശ, ഭഗ, മിത്ര, വരുണ, ധാതാ, അര്യമാ, ജയന്ത, ഭാസ്കര, ത്വഷ്ടാ, പൂഷാ, ഇന്ദ്ര, വിഷ്ണു—ഇവരാണ് പന്ത്രണ്ടു ആദിത്യർ.”
