Shloka 19

भीष्मस्योत्तरायणप्रतीक्षा तथा युधिष्ठिरागमनम् | Bhīṣma’s uttarāyaṇa moment and Yudhiṣṭhira’s arrival

क्षमावांश्वानहंवादी ब्रह्मण्यो ब्रह्मनायक: । भयहर्ता भयारतनां मित्राणां नन्दिवर्धन:

kṣamāvāñ śvān ahaṃvādī brahmaṇyo brahmanāyakaḥ | bhayahartā bhayārtānāṃ mitrāṇāṃ nandivardhanaḥ ||

ഈശ്വരൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—അവൻ ക്ഷമാശീലൻ, അഹങ്കാരരഹിതൻ, ബ്രാഹ്മണഭക്തൻ, ബ്രഹ്മജ്ഞാനികളിൽ നായകൻ. ഭയത്താൽ പീഡിതരായവരുടെ ഭയം അകറ്റുന്നവൻ; സുഹൃത്തുക്കളുടെ നന്ദി (ആനന്ദവും ധൈര്യവും) വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ.
