Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)
भीष्म उवाच इत्युक्त: स तु देवेश: प्रतिपूज्य गिरे: सुताम् । लोकान् विसर्जयामास सर्वैरनुचरैर्वृतान्,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--युधिष्ठिर! पार्वतीजीके द्वारा इस प्रकार नारीधर्मका वर्णन सुनकर देवाधिदेव महादेवजीने गिरिराजकुमारीका बड़ा आदर किया और वहाँ समस्त अनुचरोंके साथ आये हुए लोगोंको जानेकी आज्ञा दी। तब समस्त भूतगण, सरिताएँ गन्धर्व और अप्सराएँ भगवान् शंकरको सिरसे प्रणाम करके अपने-अपने स्थानको चली गयीं

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുധിഷ്ഠിരാ! ഇങ്ങനെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ ദേവേശനായ മഹാദേവൻ ഗിരിരാജകുമാരി പാർവതിയെ യഥോചിതമായി ആദരിച്ചു; പിന്നെ തന്റെ അനുചരസമൂഹങ്ങളോടുകൂടി വന്നിരുന്ന അവിടെ കൂടിയവരെ വിടവാങ്ങിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് ഭൂതഗണങ്ങളും നദികളും ഗന്ധർവരും അപ്സരസ്സുകളും ഭഗവാൻ ശങ്കരനെ ശിരസാ നമസ്കരിച്ചു തത്തത്തം ധാമങ്ങളിലേക്കു പോയി.
