श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच हन्त ते<हं प्रवक्ष्यामि देवि कर्मफलोदयम् । मर्त्यलोके नर: सर्वो येन स्वफलमश्षुते
śrīmaheśvara uvāca: hanta te 'haṃ pravakṣyāmi devi karmaphalodayam | martyaloke naraḥ sarvo yena svaphalam aśnute ||
ശ്രീമഹേശ്വരൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ദേവി! വരിക; കർമ്മഫലോദയം എങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയും. മർത്ത്യലോകത്തിൽ ഓരോ മനുഷ്യനും ആ നിയമപ്രകാരം തന്നെ തന്റെ കർമ്മങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു.
