Adhyāya 142: Cyavana, the Devas’ Arrogance, and Vāyu’s Counsel on Protecting Brāhmaṇas
शिबिरौशीनर: प्राणान् प्रियस्य तनयस्य च । ब्राह्मणार्थमुपाकृत्य नाकपृष्ठमितो गत:
śibirauśīnaraḥ prāṇān priyasya tanayasya ca | brāhmaṇārtham upākṛtya nākapṛṣṭham ito gataḥ ||
ഉശീനരവംശത്തിലെ രാജാവ് ശിബി ഒരു ബ്രാഹ്മണന്റെ നിമിത്തം തന്റെ പ്രാണവും പ്രിയപുത്രന്റെ പ്രാണവും വരെ സമർപ്പിച്ചു; പിന്നെ ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് സ്വർഗ്ഗലോകത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി.
