Adhyāya 142: Cyavana, the Devas’ Arrogance, and Vāyu’s Counsel on Protecting Brāhmaṇas
रामो दाशरथिश्वैव हुत्वा यज्ञेषु वै वसु । स गतो हाक्षयाँललोकान् यस्य लोके महद् यश:
rāmo dāśarathiś caiva hutvā yajñeṣu vai vasu | sa gato 'kṣayāṁl lokān yasya loke mahad yaśaḥ ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ദശരഥനന്ദനായ രാമൻ യജ്ഞങ്ങളിൽ ധാരാളം ധനം ആഹുതിയായി അർപ്പിച്ച്, ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ മഹായശസ് സ്ഥാപിച്ചു; പിന്നെ അക്ഷയലോകങ്ങളെ പ്രാപിച്ചു।
