Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

तमाह भगवान्‌ रुद्र: साक्षात्‌ तुष्टोडस्मि तेडनघ । ग्रन्थकूल्लोकविख्यातो भवितास्यजरामर:,तब भगवान्‌ रुद्रने उन्हें साक्षात्‌ दर्शन देकर कहा--“अनघ! मैं तुमपर बहुत संतुष्ट हूँ। तुम विश्वविख्यात ग्रन्थकार और अजर-अमर होओगे”

tam āha bhagavān rudraḥ sākṣāt tuṣṭo ’smi te ’nagha | granthakṛl lokavikhyāto bhavitāsy ajarāmaraḥ ||

അപ്പോൾ ഭഗവാൻ രുദ്രൻ സാക്ഷാൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി പറഞ്ഞു—“അനഘാ! ഞാൻ നിന്നിൽ അത്യന്തം പ്രസന്നനാണ്. നീ ലോകവിഖ്യാതനായ ഗ്രന്ഥകാരനാകും; അജരാമരനാകും.”
