अंगिरा उवाच यस्तु संवत्सरं पूर्ण दद्याद्‌ दीपं करञ्जके । सुवर्चलामूलहस्त: प्रजा तस्य विवर्धते

Transliteration

aṅgirā uvāca | yastu saṃvatsaraṃ pūrṇaṃ dadyād dīpaṃ karañjake | suvarcalāmūlahastaḥ prajā tasya vivardhate ||

Translation

അംഗിരാ പറഞ്ഞു—ആരു പൂർണ്ണ ഒരു വർഷം കരഞ്ജ വൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ കീഴിൽ ദീപദാനം ചെയ്യുകയും കൈയിൽ സുവർച്ചലാ (ഔഷധസസ്യം)യുടെ വേർ ധരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ, അവന്റെ സന്തതി വർധിക്കും.
