प्रजा विवर्धते चास्य अक्षयं चोपतिष्ठति । यही श्राद्धकी विधि बतायी गयी है
prajā vivardhate cāsya akṣayaṃ copatiṣṭhati |
ഈ നിർദേശിച്ച ശ്രാദ്ധവിധി അനുസരിച്ച് ആചരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ വംശം വളരും; അക്ഷയമായ സമൃദ്ധി അവനോടൊപ്പം നിലകൊള്ളും. ഇത്തരമൊരു അനുഷ്ഠാനം ധർമ്മലോപം വരാതിരിക്കാൻ കാരണമാകുന്നു. ഈ ധർമ്മം പാലിക്കുന്നവന്റെ പിതൃഗണം സദാ പ്രസന്നരും തൃപ്തരുമായിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ സന്തതി വർധിക്കും, ഒരിക്കലും ക്ഷയിക്കുകയില്ല।
