एष श्राद्धविधि: प्रोक्तो यथा धर्मो न लुप्यते । पितरस्तस्य तुष्यन्ति प्रहष्टटनस: सदा
eṣa śrāddhavidhiḥ prokto yathā dharmo na lupyate | pitaras tasya tuṣyanti praharṣaṭanasāḥ sadā ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ധർമ്മം ലോപിക്കാതിരിക്കുവാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ ശ്രാദ്ധവിധി പ്രസ്താവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതു ആചരിക്കുന്നവനിൽ പിതൃകൾ സദാ ഹർഷിതമനസ്സോടെ തൃപ്തരാകുന്നു.”
