कीट उवाच इदं तदतुलं स्थानमीप्सितं दशभिर्गुणै: । यदहं प्राप्य कीटत्वमागतो राजपुत्रताम्
kīṭa uvāca idaṃ tad atulaṃ sthānam īpsitaṃ daśabhir guṇaiḥ | yad ahaṃ prāpya kīṭatvam āgato rājaputratām ||
കീടൻ (ക്ഷത്രിയൻ) പറഞ്ഞു—ഭഗവൻ! ഇന്ന് എനിക്ക് ആ അതുല്യസ്ഥാനമെത്തി; അതിനെ ഞാൻ പത്തു ജന്മങ്ങളിലായാലും നേടണമെന്നു ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്റെ തന്നെ ദോഷം മൂലം കീടയോനിയിൽ പതിച്ചിട്ടും, നിങ്ങളുടെ കൃപയാൽ ഇന്ന് ഞാൻ രാജപുത്രനായി.
