Ahiṃsā as Threefold Restraint (Mind–Speech–Action) and the Ethics of Consumption

पिपीलिकस्तु मासांस्त्रीन्‌ कीट: स्यान्मासमेव तु । एतानासाद्य संसारान्‌ कृमियोनौ प्रजायते

pipīlikas tu māsāṁs trīn kīṭaḥ syān māsam eva tu | etān āsādya saṁsārān kṛmiyonau prajāyate ||

പിന്നീട് അവൻ മൂന്നു മാസം ഉറുമ്പായി, ഒരു മാസം കീടമായി കഴിയുന്നു. ഈ ജന്മചക്രങ്ങൾ അനുഭവിച്ച ശേഷം അവൻ വീണ്ടും പുഴുവിന്റെ യോനിയിലേയ്ക്ക് ജനിക്കുന്നു।
