मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

धर्मपत्नीरतो नित्यमग्निष्टोमफलं लभेत्‌ । जो अपनी ही धर्मपत्नीमें अनुराग रखते हुए निरन्तर तीन वर्षोतक प्रतिदिन एक समय भोजन करके रहता है, उसे अग्निष्टोम यज्ञका फल प्राप्त होता है,द्वाविंशे दिवसे प्राप्ते यो भुडक्ते होकभोजनम्‌

bhīṣma uvāca | dharmapatnīrato nityam agniṣṭomaphalaṃ labhet | dvāviṃśe divase prāpte yo bhuṅkte ekabhोजनम् |

എപ്പോഴും സ്വന്തം ധർമ്മപത്നിയോടു ഭക്തിയോടെ നിൽക്കുന്നവൻ അഗ്നിഷ്ടോമയാഗഫലം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു. അതുപോലെ ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടാം ദിവസം വന്നപ്പോൾ നിയന്ത്രണത്തോടെ ഒരിക്കൽ മാത്രം ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനും യാഗഫലം നേടുന്നു.
