उपवासविधि-प्रश्नः
Inquiry into the Discipline of Fasting
भ्रातृणामविभक्तानामुत्थानमपि चेत् सह | न पुत्रभागं विषमं पिता दद्यात् कदाचन
bhrātṝṇām avibhaktānām utthānam api cet saha | na putrabhāgaṁ viṣamaṁ pitā dadyāt kadācana ||
സഹോദരന്മാർ ഇതുവരെ ഓഹരി വിഭജിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാതെയും എല്ലാവരും ചേർന്ന് പരിശ്രമിച്ച് കുടുംബസമ്പത്ത് വർധിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, പിതാവ് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കെ അവർ വേർപിരിയാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചാലും പിതാവ് പുത്രന്മാർക്ക് ഒരിക്കലും അസമമായ ഓഹരി നല്കരുത്; എല്ലാവർക്കും തുല്യവിഹിതം തന്നേ നൽകണം.
