परस्य दण्डं नोद्यच्छेत् क्रुद्धो नैन॑ निपातयेत् । अन्यत्र पुत्राच्छिष्याच्च शिक्षार्थ ताडनं स्मृतम्
Translation
കോപത്തിൽ മറ്റൊരാളുടെ മേൽ ദണ്ഡം ഉയർത്തരുത്; അവനെ നിലത്തേക്ക് വീഴ്ത്തുകയും അരുത്. എന്നാൽ ശിക്ഷാർത്ഥം പുത്രനെയോ ശിഷ്യനെയോ ശാസിക്കുക ശാസ്ത്രസമ്മതമെന്നു പറയുന്നു.
