अष्टम्यां सर्वपक्षाणां ब्रह्मचारी सदा भवेत्‌ | आक्रोशं परिवादं च पैशुन्यं च विवर्जयेत्‌

Transliteration

aṣṭamyāṃ sarvapakṣāṇāṃ brahmacārī sadā bhavet | ākrośaṃ parivādaṃ ca paiśunyaṃ ca vivarjayet |

Translation

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—എല്ലാ പക്ഷങ്ങളിലെയും അഷ്ടമിയിൽ സദാ ബ്രഹ്മചര്യം പാലിക്കണം. കൂടാതെ ആക്രോശം, പരിവാദം (നിന്ദ) 그리고 പൈശുന്യം (ചാടിപ്പറച്ചിൽ) എന്നിവ ഒഴിവാക്കണം.
