Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity
इन्द्रियाणि सकृत्स्पृश्य त्रिरभ्युक्ष्य च मानव: । कुर्वीत पित्र्यं दैवं च वेददृष्टेन कर्मणा
indriyāṇi sakṛt spṛśya trir abhyukṣya ca mānavaḥ | kurvīta pitryaṃ daivaṃ ca vedadṛṣṭena karmaṇā ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആദ്യം കണ്ണുകൾ മുതലായ ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങളെ ഒരിക്കൽ സ്പർശിച്ച്, പിന്നെ മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം സ്വന്തം മേൽ ജലം തളിക്കണം. തുടർന്ന് വേദവിധിപ്രകാരം ദേവയജ്ഞവും പിതൃയജ്ഞവും നിർവഹിക്കണം.
