Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity
अड््गुष्ठस्य च यन्मध्यं प्रदेशिन्याश्व॒ भारत । तेन पित्र्याणि कुर्वीत स्पृष्टवापो न्न्यायत: सदा
aṅguṣṭhasya ca yan madhyaṃ pradeśinyāś ca bhārata | tena pitryāṇi kurvīta spṛṣṭvāpo nyāyataḥ sadā bhārata ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭാരതാ! അംഗുഷ്ഠത്തിന്റെയും ചൂണ്ടുവിരലിന്റെയും ഇടയിലെ ഭാഗം ‘പിതൃതീർത്ഥം’ എന്നു പറയുന്നു. അതിലൂടെ ശാസ്ത്രവിധിപ്രകാരം വെള്ളം എടുത്ത് എപ്പോഴും പിതൃകാര്യങ്ങൾ നിർവഹിക്കണം.
