नहुषोपाख्यानम्—दीपदान-धूप-बलीकर्म-प्रशंसा
Nahūṣa Episode and the Commendation of Lamp-Gifting and Household Offerings
पतितो5पि महाराज भूतले स्मृतिमानभूत् । प्रसादयामास भृगुं शापान्तो मे भवेदिति
patito 'pi mahārāja bhūtale smṛtimān abhūt | prasādayāmāsa bhṛguṁ śāpānto me bhaved iti ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഹേ മഹാരാജാ! ഭൂമിയിൽ വീണിട്ടും അവൻ സ്മൃതിഭ്രംശം പ്രാപിച്ചില്ല. ‘എന്റെ ശാപം അവസാനിക്കട്ടെ’ എന്നു കരുതി ഭൃഗുവിനെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു.”
