उपदेशदोषप्रसङ्गः (Upadeśa-doṣa-prasaṅgaḥ) — The Risk of Misapplied Counsel

बृस्‍्यां दर्भेषु हव्ये च कव्ये च मुनिसत्तम । एतेन कर्मदोषेण पुरोधास्त्वमजायथा:

bṛsyāṃ darbheṣu havye ca kavye ca munisattama | etena karmadoṣeṇa purodhās tvam ajāyathāḥ ||

ഹേ മുനിശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! പവിത്രാസനവും ദർഭയും യഥാവിധി ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതും, ഹവ്യം (ദേവന്മാർക്ക്) കവ്യം (പിതൃകൾക്ക്) എന്നിവ എങ്ങനെ അർപ്പിക്കണമെന്നതും നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്ക് ഉപദേശിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ അതേ കർമാചരണത്തിലെ ദോഷഫലമായി ഈ ജന്മത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ പുരോഹിതനായി ജനിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു.
