Duḥṣanta–Śakuntalā: Gandharva Marriage and Succession Condition
वृत्र इत्यभिविख्यातो यस्तु राजन् महासुर: । मणिमाजन्नाम राजर्षि: स बभूव नराधिप:
vṛtra ity abhivikhyāto yas tu rājan mahāsuraḥ | maṇimān nāma rājarṣiḥ sa babhūva narādhipaḥ ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ രാജാവേ! ‘വൃത്ര’ എന്ന പേരിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനായ ആ മഹാസുരൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ ‘മണിമാൻ’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ പ്രശസ്തനായ രാജർഷി-രാജാവായി ജനിച്ചു.
