आस्तीक उवाच न संतापस्त्वया कार्य: कथंचित् पन्नगोत्तम | प्रदीप्ताग्ने: समुत्पन्नं नाशयिष्यामि ते भयम्
Āstīka uvāca—na santāpas tvayā kāryaḥ kathaṃcit pannagottama | pradīptāgneḥ samutpannaṃ nāśayiṣyāmi te bhayam ||
ആസ്തീകൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ പന്നഗോത്തമാ! നീ ഒരുവിധത്തിലും വിഷമിക്കേണ്ട. ഈ സർപ്പയാഗത്തിലെ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിയിൽ നിന്നുയർന്ന നിന്റെ ഭയം ഞാൻ അകറ്റും.
