Transliteration

tataḥ prabhṛti tāṃ kanyāṃ vāsukiḥ paryarakṣat | jaratkāruṃ svasāraṃ vai paraṃ harṣam avāpa ca ||

Translation

അന്നുമുതൽ വാസുകി ആ കന്യകയെ—തന്റെ സഹോദരി ജരത്കാരുവിനെ—ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ സംരക്ഷിച്ചു; അവന് മഹത്തായ ആനന്ദം ലഭിച്ചു.
