विहारदेशं सम्प्राप्य नानाद्रुममनुत्तमम् । गृहैरुच्चावचैर्युक्तं पुरन्दरपुरोपमम्
vihāradeśaṃ samprāpya nānādrumamanuttamam | gṛhair uccāvacair yuktaṃ purandara-puropamam ||
വിഹാരസ്ഥാനത്തെത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവർ കണ്ടു— നാനാവിധ ഉത്തമവൃക്ഷങ്ങളാൽ അലങ്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ട ആ ശ്രേഷ്ഠഭൂമി; ഉയരം-താഴ്വം വ്യത്യസ്തമായ അനേകം ഭവനങ്ങളാൽ സമ്പന്നമായി അത് പുരന്ദരപുരിയെപ്പോലെ ദീപ്തമായി തിളങ്ങി.
