सम्पूर्णकोशा: किल मे मातर: पितरस्तथा । भयात् सर्वेषु लोकेषु नाधिजग्मु: परायणम्
Ūrva uvāca | sampūrṇakośāḥ kila me mātaraḥ pitaras tathā | bhayāt sarveṣu lokeṣu nādhijagmuḥ parāyaṇam | tataḥ vasiṣṭhādayaḥ sarve munayas tatra menire | tejasā dīpyamānaṃ vai dvitīyam iva bhāskaram |
ഊർവൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഗർഭം നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്ന എന്റെ മാതാക്കളും പിതൃഗണവും ഭയത്താൽ എല്ലാ ലോകങ്ങളിലും അലഞ്ഞുതിരിഞ്ഞു; എങ്കിലും എവിടെയും ശരണം ലഭിച്ചില്ല. അപ്പോൾ വസിഷ്ഠാദി എല്ലാ മുനിമാരും അവിടെ തപോതേജസ്സാൽ ദീപ്തനായ ആ മഹർഷിയെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ സൂര്യനെന്നപോലെ ദർശിച്ചു.
