वृथारोषप्रतिज्ञो वै नाहं भवितुमुत्सहे । अनिस्तीर्णो हि मां रोषो देहेदग्निरिवारणिम्
Ūrva uvāca | vṛthā-roṣa-pratijño vai nāhaṃ bhavitum utsahe | anistīrṇo hi māṃ roṣo dehed agnir ivāraṇim ||
ഔർവൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ക്രോധവും പ്രതിജ്ഞയും വ്യർത്ഥമാകുന്നവനായി ഞാൻ ആകാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്റെ കോപം ലക്ഷ്യത്തിലെത്താതെ പോയാൽ, ആ ചെലവാകാത്ത രോഷം അരണിക്കട്ടയെ അഗ്നി ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ എന്നെയും ദഹിപ്പിക്കും.”
