द्रोण उदाच शीघ्र भवन्त: सर्वेडपि धनूंष्यादाय सर्वश: । भासमेतं समुद्दिश्य तिष्ठ ध्वं संधितेषव:,द्रोण बोले--तुम सब लोग इस गीधको बींधनेके लिये शीघ्र ही धनुष लेकर उसपर बाण चढ़ाकर खड़े हो जाओ
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Droṇa uvāca—śīghraṁ bhavantaḥ sarve ’pi dhanūṁṣy ādāya sarvaśaḥ | bhāsam etaṁ samuddiśya tiṣṭhadhvaṁ sandhiteṣavaḥ ||
ദ്രോണൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും വേഗം ധനുസ്സുകൾ എടുക്കുക; അമ്പ് നാരിൽ ചാർത്തി, ഈ കഴുകനെ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി സന്നദ്ധരായി നിൽക്കുക.”
