अध्याय ९६: शरभ-प्रादुर्भावः, नृसिंह-दर्पशमनम्, विष्णोः शिवस्तुतिः, फलश्रुति

किं किं धैर्यं कृतं तेन ब्रूहि सर्वम् अशेषतः सूत उवाच एवमभ्यर्थितो देवैर् मतिं चक्रे कृपालयः

kiṃ kiṃ dhairyaṃ kṛtaṃ tena brūhi sarvam aśeṣataḥ sūta uvāca evamabhyarthito devair matiṃ cakre kṛpālayaḥ

“അവൻ ഏതു ധൈര്യവും ദൃഢനിശ്ചയവും കാണിച്ചു—ഒന്നും വിട്ടുപോകാതെ പറയുക.” സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ദേവന്മാർ ഇങ്ങനെ അപേക്ഷിച്ചതിനാൽ കരുണാനിധിയായ പ്രഭു മനസ്സുറപ്പിച്ചു.
