अध्याय ९६: शरभ-प्रादुर्भावः, नृसिंह-दर्पशमनम्, विष्णोः शिवस्तुतिः, फलश्रुति

वीरभद्रो ऽपि भगवान् वीरशक्तिविजृम्भितः स्वयं विज्ञापयामास किमत्र स्मृतिकारणम्

vīrabhadro 'pi bhagavān vīraśaktivijṛmbhitaḥ svayaṃ vijñāpayāmāsa kimatra smṛtikāraṇam

വീരശക്തിയിൽ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന ഭഗവാൻ വീരഭദ്രൻ സ്വയം ചോദിച്ചു—“ഇവിടെ സ്മൃതി ഉദയിക്കാനുള്ള കാരണം എന്ത്?”
