ihāsmānpāhi bhagavan nityāhatamahābalaḥ bhavatā hi jagatsarvaṃ vyāptaṃ svenaiva tejasā
Suta (narrating a hymnic prayer voiced by devotees/devas within the episode)
It frames Shiva as the immanent Pati whose own tejas pervades all; Linga-worship here becomes contemplation of that all-pervading presence and a direct plea for protection.
Shiva-tattva is presented as inexhaustible power (never diminished) and universal pervasion—His self-born radiance sustains and fills the whole jagat, indicating both transcendence and immanence.
A stuti-based upāsanā: taking refuge (śaraṇāgati) and meditating on Shiva’s tejas as the inner pervader—aligned with Pāśupata orientation of turning the pashu toward Pati to loosen pasha.
