सूत उवाच अत ऊर्ध्वं प्रवक्ष्यामि योगं परमदुर्लभम् पञ्चधा संस्मरेदादौ स्थाप्य चित्ते सनातनम्
sūta uvāca ata ūrdhvaṃ pravakṣyāmi yogaṃ paramadurlabham pañcadhā saṃsmaredādau sthāpya citte sanātanam
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇനി ഞാൻ പരമദുർലഭമായ യോഗം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു. ആദ്യം ചിത്തത്തിൽ സനാതന പരമേശ്വരനെ സ്ഥാപിച്ച്, അവനെ പഞ്ചവിധമായി സ്മരിക്കണം.
Suta
It shifts the focus from outer worship alone to inner Linga—establishing the Eternal Śiva (Pati) in the heart and remembering Him through a structured, fivefold contemplation.
Śiva is presented as “Sanātana,” the timeless Pati beyond change; liberation for the paśu (bound soul) begins by fixing consciousness on this Eternal Reality rather than on transient objects of pāśa (bondage).
A dhyāna-based Pāśupata orientation: first stabilize the mind in Śiva, then perform fivefold remembrance (pañcadhā-saṃsmaraṇa) as the core yogic method.
