पशवो नैव जायन्ते वर्षमात्रेण देवताः अस्माभिः सर्वकार्याणां देवमभ्यर्च्य यत्नतः

Transliteration

paśavo naiva jāyante varṣamātreṇa devatāḥ asmābhiḥ sarvakāryāṇāṃ devamabhyarcya yatnataḥ

Translation

ഹേ ദേവന്മാരേ, ഒരു വർഷം മാത്രം കടന്നാൽ പശുക്കൾ (ജീവങ്ങൾ) ഉദ്ഭവിക്കുന്നില്ല. അതിനാൽ എല്ലാ കാര്യസിദ്ധിക്കുമായി നാം പരിശ്രമത്തോടെ പതി-സ്വരൂപനായ ദേവനെ ആരാധിക്കണം।
