Though genealogical, it grounds the Purana’s Shiva-centered dharma by preserving righteous lineages (vamsha) that later become adhikarins for Shiva-puja, linga-pratishtha, and vrata traditions.
Indirectly: by praising the destruction of hostile forces, it mirrors Shiva as Pati who removes pasha (bondage) and inner enemies; the heroic ideal becomes a dharmic reflection of Shiva’s protective, purifying power.
No specific puja-vidhi or Pashupata-yoga limb is stated; the takeaway is dharma-kshatra—upholding order so that Shiva-bhakti and disciplined sadhana can flourish.
