इत्येष एकचक्रेण सूर्यस्तूर्णं रथेन तु हरितैरक्षरैरश्वैः सर्पते ऽसौ दिवाकरः

Transliteration

ityeṣa ekacakreṇa sūryastūrṇaṃ rathena tu haritairakṣarairaśvaiḥ sarpate 'sau divākaraḥ

Translation

ഇങ്ങനെ ഈ ദിവാകരനായ സൂര്യൻ ഏകചക്ര രഥത്തിൽ അതിവേഗം സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; ഹരിതവർണ്ണ അശ്വങ്ങൾ—അക്ഷരസ്വരൂപമായ, അവിനാശിയായ—അവനെ വലിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.
