It links worship to mantra-śakti: the seven chandas become the “steeds” that carry the sādhaka’s offering and awareness toward Pati (Śiva), showing that Linga-pūjā is sustained by Vedic sound and disciplined recitation.
Śiva-tattva is implied as asaṅga (unattached): the divine order moves without bondage. The chariot’s motion through chandas points to Śiva as Pati—beyond pasha—yet supporting the cosmos through mantra and ṛta.
Chandas-governed japa and Vedic-style mantra-recitation: using regulated metre and breath to stabilize the mind (pashu), weaken bondage (pasha), and orient consciousness toward Śiva (Pati).
