सूर्यरथ-रचना, ध्रुव-प्रेरणा, मास-गणाः च

मधुश् च माधवश्चैव शुक्रश् च शुचिरेव च नभोनभस्यौ विप्रेन्द्रा इषश्चोर्जस्तथैव च

ഹേ വിപ്രേന്ദ്രാ, മധുവും മാധവവും; അതുപോലെ ശുക്രവും ശുചിയും; പിന്നെ നഭയും നഭസ്യയും; അതുപോലെ ഇഷയും ഊർജവും—ഇങ്ങനെ പവിത്രകാലചക്രത്തിലെ മാസങ്ങൾ എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടു।
