भुवनकोशस्वभाववर्णनम् — सप्तद्वीप-पर्वत-लोकविन्यासः तथा यक्ष-उमा-प्रकाशः

महावीतं तु यद्वर्षं बाह्यतो मानसस्य तु तस्यैवाभ्यन्तरो यस्तु धातकीखण्ड उच्यते

Transliteration

mahāvītaṃ tu yadvarṣaṃ bāhyato mānasasya tu tasyaivābhyantaro yastu dhātakīkhaṇḍa ucyate

Translation

‘മഹാവീത’ എന്ന വർഷം മാനസ (മാനസോത്തര)ത്തിന്റെ പുറംവശത്താണ്; അതേ വ്യാപ്തിയുടെ അകത്തുള്ള ഭാഗം ‘ധാതകീഖണ്ഡം’ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു।
