FAQs

It sanctifies Shaiva sacred geography by identifying Siddha-residences—mountains, caves, and forests—as natural loci where devotion to Śiva and Linga-centered austerity mature into siddhi.

By implying Siddhas gather in secluded tīrthas for realization, it points to Śiva as Pati—the liberating Lord—known through disciplined withdrawal and contemplation that loosens pāśa from the paśu.

Forest-and-cave austerity aligned with Pāśupata-oriented sādhanā—solitude, tapas, japa, and steady contemplation of Śiva as the supreme refuge.
