Shloka 16

देवदारुवनौकसां प्रति ब्रह्मोपदेशः—लिङ्गलक्षण-प्रतिष्ठा-विधिः, शिवमायारूपदर्शनं, स्तुतिः

वर्तुलं चतुरस्रं वा षडस्रं वा त्रिरस्रकम् समन्तान्निर्व्रणं शुभ्रं लक्षणैस्तत् सुलक्षितम्

vartulaṃ caturasraṃ vā ṣaḍasraṃ vā trirasrakam samantānnirvraṇaṃ śubhraṃ lakṣaṇaistat sulakṣitam

ശിവലിംഗം വൃത്തം, ചതുരം, ഷഡസ്രം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ത്രിരസ്രം ആകാം; അത് എല്ലാദിക്കിലും ദോഷരഹിതവും ശുദ്ധവും പ്രകാശമുള്ളതുമായിരിക്കണം. ഈ ശുഭലക്ഷണങ്ങളാൽ യുക്തമായത് പൂജയ്ക്ക് സുലക്ഷിതം എന്നു പറയുന്നു।
