Suta
It highlights the required attitude for approaching Linga-tattva: reverent, concentrated śravaṇa (listening) to authoritative speech, because the inquiry into Shiva (Pati) is weighty and transformative for the soul (Pashu).
Indirectly, it frames Shiva-tattva as something approached through profound questioning and deep receptivity—suggesting that the revelation of Pati is not casual knowledge but a liberating insight that dissolves Pāśa (bondage).
Śravaṇa and ekāgratā (one-pointed attention): the foundational discipline that supports Pashupata-oriented sādhanā and makes later puja-vidhi and mantra-upāsanā fruitful.
