Shloka 57

उमास्वयंवरः / भवोद्वाहः, गणसमागमः, अविमुक्तक्षेत्रमाहात्म्यम्, तथा विनायक-उत्पत्तिसूचना

तमाह शङ्करो देवं देवदेवो जगत्पतिः यद्यदिष्टं सुरश्रेष्ठ तत्कुरुष्व यथेप्सितम्

tamāha śaṅkaro devaṃ devadevo jagatpatiḥ yadyadiṣṭaṃ suraśreṣṭha tatkuruṣva yathepsitam

അപ്പോൾ ദേവദേവനും ജഗത്പതിയുമായ ശങ്കരൻ ആ ദേവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു— “ഹേ സുരശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! നിനക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളതെല്ലാം നിന്റെ ഇച്ഛപ്രകാരം തന്നെ ചെയ്യുക.”
