यत् तु पापोपशान्त्यर्थं दीयते विदुषां करे / नैमित्तिकं तदुद्दिष्टं दानं सद्भिरनुष्ठितम्
yat tu pāpopaśāntyarthaṃ dīyate viduṣāṃ kare / naimittikaṃ taduddiṣṭaṃ dānaṃ sadbhiranuṣṭhitam
പാപശാന്തിക്കായി പണ്ഡിതരുടെ കൈകളിൽ നൽകുന്ന ദാനം ‘നൈമിത്തിക’ ദാനം എന്നു നിർദ്ദേശിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; സദ്ജനങ്ങൾ അത് വിധിപൂർവ്വം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു.
