द्वे पवित्रे गृहीत्वाथ भाजने क्षालिते पुनः / शं नो देव्या जलं क्षिप्त्वा यवो ऽसीति यवांस्तथा
dve pavitre gṛhītvātha bhājane kṣālite punaḥ / śaṃ no devyā jalaṃ kṣiptvā yavo 'sīti yavāṃstathā
പിന്നീട് രണ്ട് ദർഭപ്പവിത്രങ്ങൾ എടുത്ത്, കഴുകിയ പാത്രത്തിൽ 'ശം നോ ദേവി' എന്ന മന്ത്രം ചൊല്ലി വെള്ളവും 'യവോ സി' എന്ന മന്ത്രം ചൊല്ലി യവവും (ബാർലി) പൂജിക്കണം.
