अपाङ्क्त्यान्नं च सङ्घान्नं शस्त्राजीवस्य चैव हि / क्लीबसंन्यासिनोश्चान्नं मत्तोन्मत्तस्य चैव हि / भीतस्य रुदितस्यान्नमवक्रुष्टं परिक्षुतम्

apāṅktyānnaṃ ca saṅghānnaṃ śastrājīvasya caiva hi / klībasaṃnyāsinoścānnaṃ mattonmattasya caiva hi / bhītasya ruditasyānnamavakruṣṭaṃ parikṣutam

ഭോജനപങ്ക്തിയിൽ ഇരിക്കാൻ അയോഗ്യരിൽ നിന്നു ലഭിച്ച അന്നം, ജനക്കൂട്ടത്തിൽ വിതരണം ചെയ്യുന്ന സംഘം-അന്നം, ആയുധജീവിയുടെ അന്നം; ക്ളീബന്റെയും സന്ന്യാസിയുടെയും അന്നം; മത്തനോ ഉന്മത്തനോ ആയവന്റെ അന്നം; ഭീതനായോ കരയുന്നവനോ ആയവന്റെ അന്നം; നിന്ദിക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ തുമ്മൽ വീണതോ ആയ അന്നം—ഇവ എല്ലാം വर्ज്യമാണ്।
