इति श्रीकूर्मपुराणे षट्साहस्त्र्यां संहितायामुपरिविभागे त्रयोदशो ऽध्यायः व्यास उवाच एवं दण्डादिभिर्युक्तः शौचाचारसमन्वितः / आहूतो ऽध्ययनं कुर्याद् वीक्षमाणो गुरोर्मुखम्

ഇങ്ങനെ ശ്രീകൂർമപുരാണത്തിലെ ഷട്സാഹസ്ത്രീ സംഹിതയുടെ ഉപരിവിഭാഗത്തിലെ പതിമൂന്നാം അധ്യായം സമാപിച്ചു. വ്യാസൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ദണ്ഡാദി ഉപകരണങ്ങളോടെ, ശൗചവും സദാചാരവും പാലിച്ച്, വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടാൽ ഗുരുവിന്റെ മുഖത്തേക്ക് ദൃഷ്ടി നിർത്തി പഠനം ആരംഭിക്കണം।
