नाभिवाद्यास्तु विप्रेण क्षत्रियाद्याः कथञ्चन / ज्ञानकर्मगुणोपेता यद्यप्येते बहुश्रुताः

nābhivādyāstu vipreṇa kṣatriyādyāḥ kathañcana / jñānakarmaguṇopetā yadyapyete bahuśrutāḥ

ക്ഷത്രിയാദി വർണക്കാരെ ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ ഒരിക്കലും ആദ്യം അഭിവാദ്യം ചെയ്യരുത്—അവർ ജ്ഞാനം, സത്കർമ്മം, ഗുണങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയാൽ സമ്പന്നരും ബഹുശ്രുതരുമായാലും.
