FAQs

Indirectly: it emphasizes karma-phala and post-mortem destinations; in the Kurma Purana’s broader synthesis, purification through dharma supports the inward turn that culminates in Self-knowledge, even though this verse itself focuses on merit and result.

No specific technique is named; the implied discipline is karma-yoga through dharmic action—ethical conduct and prescribed duties—which the Purana treats as a foundation for higher yogic practice (including Shaiva-Vaishnava integrated sadhana elsewhere).

It does not explicitly mention Shiva or Vishnu; however, the Kurma Purana’s overarching Shaiva-Vaishnava synthesis frames dharma and liberation as harmonized under the one Supreme Lord, with righteous action leading away from naraka and toward auspicious states.
