मदन्वये तु ये सूताः संभूता वेदवर्जिताः / तेषां पुराणवक्तृत्वं वृत्तिरासीदजाज्ञया
madanvaye tu ye sūtāḥ saṃbhūtā vedavarjitāḥ / teṣāṃ purāṇavaktṛtvaṃ vṛttirāsīdajājñayā
എന്റെ വംശത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച സൂതർ വേദാധ്യയനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഒഴിവാക്കപ്പെട്ടതിനാൽ, അജൻ (ബ്രഹ്മാ)യുടെ ആജ്ഞപ്രകാരം പുരാണവചനമാണ് അവരുടെ ഉപജീവനമായത്।
