The Slaying of Hiraṇyākṣa and the Triumph of Varāha
आह चायुधमाधत्स्व घटस्व त्वं जिगीषसि । इत्युक्त:स तदा भूयस्ताडयन् व्यनदद् भृशम् ॥ १० ॥
āha cāyudham ādhatsva ghaṭasva tvaṁ jigīṣasi ity uktaḥ sa tadā bhūyas tāḍayan vyanadad bhṛśam
അപ്പോൾ ഭഗവാൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ആയുധം എടുത്തുകൊൾക; ഏറ്റുമുട്ടുക; നീ എന്നെ ജയിക്കാനല്ലേ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്.” ഇങ്ങനെ വെല്ലുവിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട ദൈത്യൻ വീണ്ടും ഗദ ഉയർത്തി, അത്യന്തം ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ഗർജിച്ചു.
